Hello everyone
So finally I'm back with another video and today's video is about
Three ways that I actually used to make friends in Germany
But I have to say that I'm not really good at you know socializing, making friends, and other sort of thing
Because I'm pretty introverted
but
Those methods worked for me, and I have a couple of German friends now
And I hope that they work for you, too
You know maybe not for living in Germany in particular
But whenever you move to a completely new environment you can try them out
Well I mean it's the age of the Internet
And you don't have to physically go out and make friends. Just use Tinder and I also know how some of you
Think about dinner, but believe me
How it turns out totally depends on you know how you want it to be. If you only want to have some native
German friends to hang out with some time and to get to know more about their culture
Just literally write it down on your profile.
You know it's not necessary that you are supposed to have an intimate relationship with anyone when you're using Tinder.
The most important thing is to write it down on your profile so others would know
what to expect from you. To be honest, I got a couple of friends from Tinder and they're German
They are all really nice and cute and I understand more about German people which is my talking phone?
So why not give it a try?
I'm not kidding. I'm not kidding at all. It's a real solution for your friend making problem. Let me show you how it works.
I'm currently playing Ingress
you know the first reason is because my Burli suggested me to play and
It opened a whole new world
You know because the Ingress community in Augsburg City where I'm currently living in is pretty active. They even created
their own Facebook group, Telegram Group
Where players can say hi to one another and they exchange knowledge, information,
strategies about the game and sometimes, they have something called Stammtisch where
players can gather together in a bar in the inner city of Augsburg and
to drink some beer, eat some food and make friends, and I think that's kind of awesome.
Recently, I started playing Magic the Gathering
actually, it's a cool game, it's really good
But the point is there is a really cool store in Augsburg city called "Create and play"
Where they sell Magic cards,
minitures for games and that's also where all the players in the city meet every Friday night
they hold the event "Magic night" and
there are ***-tons of people coming and playing cards there
Actually, I've been there once and that place is awesome
Despite the fact that there were no girls apart from me there, which is even more awesome lol
Just kidding
but I think it's a really cool place to you know make friends with ones who have
the mutual interest with you, and I also highly recommend to find a place like that in your towns
You know in order to make
friends you need to joy a community and what I'm talking about now is not an exception. More specifically,
I really wanted to know more about German people and their culture so I registered an English class in
my university because you know English classes are full of German students. As you may know that each
university in Germany has their own
language center where they teach languages for free so why not, rite? You know improve your language
roficiency and have some more new friends at the same time. Sounds good, huh? So a little wrap up here: Number
one, use Tinder. Number two, play some games. Number three, attend some classes. To be honest. I don't think German people are always
serious, they are also humorous like all of us, you know having some German friends can help you to
learn how to be organized and straightforward like them, and furthermore, to blend in with people where you're living in.
There's one thing that I want you to remember that
Germany can make you close yourself off from the world
But if you are open and encouraging enough to step out, to join some communities
I believe that you'll find German people pretty honest and hospitable, so it's up to you!
