Well, hi, everyone.
As usual it's Et Cetera Tape.
Vlog again, tho this time
I'm not at home. I'm in Fukushima, at friend's.
Well, lemme tell you a bit about it.
Got here by bus.
It was quite comfortable, without any problems, i.e.
it was possible to tune a sit, put on a screen and get some sleep in there.
Anyway.
On the way saw damn lotta beautiful mountains, snow,
and it's really awesome. I mean...
I haven't seen snow in almost a year.
Last winter in Tokyo it was snowing one, maybe two days.
And that time we went to play snowballs, etc, tho it doesn't matter.
So somewhere on the way on some bus stop
there was snow. (*__*)
Ok, I get you don't get my excitement,
but it's just damn awesome.
And mountains, they're just gorgeous.
Well, hell with the usual ones,
but when there're many of them and snow peaks!..
Hard to express in mere words, I guess.
About Fukushima itself.
My route laid through Sendai.
The city that got messed during the quake.
Well, if felt quite ok.
No devastation, no post apocalyptic stuff, nothing of a kind.
Felt like...
More or less like Shinjuku,
but without the crowds.
I.e. it was naturally pleasant to sit there, to be there, and
there was quite a lot of space.
Clean, very clean.
People...
Probably
I have some
things going on between me and Tokyo,
but people here, in Fukushima, are quite
nice, affable,
well, slt.
It's interesting talking to them.
The friend I stayed at,
she works in the Mexican restaurant,
where I kinda spent the last two evenings.
So chief there,
he's Japanese, 25 y.o., and,
well, say in Tokyo when you come to bar,
nobody talks to you.
You just sit there,
being ignored and ignoring yourself.
Well, slt.
Usually.
Again, there's history between me and Tokyo.
It's full of ups, but has numerous downs as well.
So yeah, here, in this bar
was talking to this guy and...
Well, it was just nice. )
Trains...
Train between Sendai and Fukushima,
it's JR, and JR is easy to cheat.
I guess I'll tell you how to cheat with trains later,
but to put it short it's possible to take it for free, and it's not really punishable
if you know how to do it right.
Also while wandering around Fukushima
found two roofs, one weird creepy place and
also few flaws in buildings' security systems.
There were two apartment blocks, and
to get inside one had to go through the watch.
Either using a pass
or calling someone upstairs and asking to open up.
So, in both of them it's possible to get from the side
and just climb to the stairs.
Actually, it's a common security problem in Japan.
They close the front entrance and
don't really think about the
other ways to get in, etc.
Nothing major tho.
Security in Japan usually counts on
people being law abiding
and thinking straight forwardly.
I heard once,
that Japanese encounting some rule
usually just follow it.
If there's a rule - someone must have made it, must have need it,
and then it's better to follow.
Russians, on the other hand, are opposite,
the first thing they think about is how to break it.
If there're ways to avoid it, etc.
Or maybe it's just me.
Anyway.
Mexican restaurant.
Taco's awesome.
It's
something like pancakes
you put various sauces on,
mix it all together, lots of it,
put some salad,
roll it and
eat, and it's really delicious.
Oh, I also was really surprised
they had this stuff named
sawa curi:mu.
So yeah, it's bloody smetana.
Yes, there's smetana in Japan.
And it's really really cool.
Actually I asked the owner,
he said they sell it in usual shops,
so it's not just being ordered.
They call it sawa kuri:mu in Japan,
which came from English sour cream,
which is [sour cream].
Well you got it.
Most of the buildings in Fukushima are quite low,
but it's really nice.
Not having all that crowds,
all the overflow of the metropolis, it's really good,
and landscapes,
they're just mindblowing.
If you ever get an opporunity,
if you ever come to Japan,
I really suggest you to come at least here.
Tho actually...
Actually, I'd like to say
if you ever come to Japan - don't just stay in Tokyo.
Coz outside there're
crazy gorgeous places,
and if you try to go there - you won't regret it.
I guess that's it for today.
Failed ideacracy, but damn with it.
Yours, D, Et Cetera.
Chao.
