Meet my Tutor—Blog #1 Hey guys. My name is Deepak. I’m the talky guy that came up with the idea for Meet my Tutor. First of all I want to say welcome to sunny Malaga, thank you Ryan Air. And if you hear some Spanish in the background, you know why. If you’re expecting a smooth and professional video as you get to know me you’ll realize there’s very little that’s professional about me, so please bear with me. What I’m going to be doing is I’m going to be updating you once every one to two weeks, that’s yet to be set in stone. Please give me feedback as we move along through the videos and… thank you, bless you. . I guess how I want to start today is by telling you a story of my first memorable experience in education. I was ten years old and Mr. Roberts, if he’s listening, I thank you. He was the first guy that was teaching us from up north. And I remember one day when he rose on into the classroom, ** it’s a Lynx deodorant, and he says, “Kids have you ever seen a ** the deodorant on? That’s my very bad northern accent by the way, I apologize if you’re from up north. And two student responded, “No, sir.” So what he did,… it was very theatrical, very dramatic but memorable. More than 10 years now, I still remember him. So I think that’s one of the key things that education should be, memorable and memorable. And that’s why we’re here. Thank you for listening.
