California Fires Penalty at Business Owners Who Comply with Trump’s Ice

Here is another chapter in the book: California Democrats Hate America. Time and again we’ve seen this super liberal state go against the will of the people. They have prioritized illegal aliens time and again. It’s clear what the lawmakers of that state care about. And it’s not Americans. This month they passed a statute that makes the entire state a sanctuary for illegal aliens. California will refuse to cooperate with federal authorities in the apprehension of of violent criminals. But apparently, that’s not good enough. Now the attorney general of California has issued a threat to all its businesses: “If you comply with the federal government, we’ll come after you.” From Sacramento Bee: The state’s top cop issued a warning to California employers Thursday that businesses face legal repercussions, including fines up to $10,000, if they assist federal immigration authorities with a potential widespread immigration crackdown. “It’s important, given these rumors that are out there, to let people know – more specifically today, employers – that if they voluntarily start giving up information about their employees or access to their employees in ways that contradict our new California laws, they subject themselves to actions by my office,” state Attorney General Xavier Becerra said at a news conference. “We will prosecute those who violate the law…” Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s acting director Thomas Homan told a Fox News host earlier this month that “California better hold on tight… If the politicians in California don’t want to protect their communities, then ICE will,” prompting a query from Sens. Dianne Feinstein and Kamala Harris to brief them on how raids are prioritized. This is truly unbelievable. California is so warped, it would attack businesses obeying the law. It’s illegal to employ illegal aliens. Businesses that do so can face serious consequences. The only way they can avoid that is by cooperating with federal authorities. Now they are being told by California that if they do, the state will go after them. Am I taking crazy pills? Does California really hate law-abiding Americans that much? I know the Democrats in the state is terrible. Their minimum wage hike is driving companies to other states. Many citizens are fleeing to other parts of the country for more opportunity. This move might very well be the nail in the coffin for CA. What business would want to stay there? Rumors swirl that a large portion of the state will cede and become something new. Now, they might not have a choice.
