He's known around the world as the tiger who attacked Vegas magician Roy Horn during a show.
And now, after a short illness, white tiger Mantecore has died, aged 17.
Every magician has a beautiful, exotic assistant - and for Siegfreid and Roy, it was Mantecore.
Everyone was left stunned when the tiger leapt and took Roy in his jaw during a show in 2003.
He was left badly and was left paralysed by a stroke, which happened during the attack.
But he and his partner always insisted Mantecore had not been aggressive - that he had spotted
Roy was in difficulty and was actually trying to drag him off-stage so paramedics could
treat him.
Since then, Mantecore has lived in the Siegfried & Roy Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat at
the Mirage hotel.
Roy paid an emotional tribute to his animal friend on Facebook - telling how he had saved the tiger's life
as a newborn cub and paying tribute to their time on stage together.
And in a statement about Mantecore's death, he said: "I will forever believe it was his
concern for my safety and well-being that caused him to act as he did on that night
long ago.
We spent many hours together and he never failed to bring me great joy and wonderment.
It was my great honour to be beside him at the end. He is now playing with his siblings
in white tiger heaven."
