Hi there! I'm so glad you tuned in today, since I have something a little different
for you! Ok, for one, yes, you can see me. But there's so much more in store! Today I
want to talk about the one thing that people generally don't talk about, and it can be
the most vital aspect in the success or failure of your businesses video strategy.
People tend to assume that once the video is posted to YouTube, that's it. It's done,
and move on. Just because you've got a video online doesn't mean that everyone is going
to find it and share it with their friends. To tell you the truth, your work has just
begun.
Think of it this way. You've made the decision to include video content in your marketing
plan. Once the video part is done, you need to get it out there and promote it. So many
people will limit their activity to Facebook, maybe add it to their website, and simply
repost it at every opportunity. They may even tag a few key folks on the video. It's simply
not enough, and it will not generate the buzz you're looking for.
Do you send emails? I assume that most of us do. Here's a simple way to get your videos
out there: Add a link to your videos in your email signature! Assuming that you send ten
to fifteen emails a day, those are possibly ten to fifteen more opportunities for your
videos to be seen!
While on the topic of emails, do you send e-newsletters to your clientele? It's very
easy to embed your video into it. Keep in mind you don't want to attach the file, since
video files tend to be rather large. Instead, pull up your video on YouTube and look for
the "share" button. Instead of copying the code immediately presented, you can select
the link to "embed" your video. As you can see, a box containing an html script will
come up. Copy this code and embed the html to your e-newsletter.
I saved the best for last. Ready? This will work for every type of business, when done
effectively and correctly. Try something different: distribute an online press release. This tactic
can be an ideal tool that will increase your SEO, since you are encouraging different news
sites to post your video, which will also broaden your scope to new potential clients!
PR professionals are a great means to get your message out, and may be considerably
more affordable than you think! They're not just for large companies. We suggest giving
our partners at Surge Communications a call! If you're outside of our region, you could
also give PRWeb.com a try, as they have a number of tools available to show you how
easy PR can be. We definitely suggest that you contact a professional, however, since
your business should never opt for second best.
So there you have it. Email signatures, e-newsletter promotion and online press releases. However
you choose to get your video out there, the most important thing you can do is to get
it seen! Post it, pin it, tweet it. It will be seen.

won't want to miss our next video blog where we'll talk about... Well, I guess I don't
want to spoil that surprise. You won't want to miss it!
