If you haven't heard there's a new luxury brand on the scene it's called Genesis and
it just unveiled the New York Concept at the New York Auto Show. And more than simply just
take on Audi or BMW, the New York Concept aims to reimagine how humans interact with machines.
Genesis imagines people will interact with this huge 21-inch curved screen from
LG with gesture and touch controls. And I'm not talking about touching the screen, instead
you'll be touching this dish like touchpad here in the center console.
For instance, you can, in the air, grab a screen and throw it from one side of that 21-inch display to another.
And over in front of the driver is more of a natural coppery looking display,
which can show anything from miles per hour to RPM.
Stepping outside of tech and speaking more broadly, it's a very interesting design the New York Concept.
Genesis says this is a sports hybrid. It produces 241 horsepower and, if I'm being honest, 241 doesn't seem so sporty.
However, this is just a concept so Genesis can say whatever it wants.
Even though the New York Concept is well, just a concept, Genesis has told us that a lot
of these design elements will be going into production cars in the future.
