Hello from ZestNow.com. I 'm here with celebrity makeup artist, Sajata
and Regina, our model
I'm Dianne Morris editor of ZestNow
today we're going to be adding in look of health and vitality to the face
After the video. please go to Zestnow.com to see a list of products and tools that
may be used in the series
I know with blushes, there are powders, gels and creams
What do you recommend and where do you apply it
It depends on the texture of the skin. If you have dryer skin you might want to use a cream
You just smile and you apply it the apple of your cheek and you blend it up with your fingers
or you can use a sponge.
With a powder
you use a brush and apply it to the same area of the apple of the face and up to the temple.
I know I have dry lips. I used to blame it on growing up in Minnesota.
But now I realize that many women over fifty have very dry lips
what we can we do about that
There are lip moisturizers.
There are conditioners such as Blixtex
that you would use before applying lipstick
If you prefer to something more a little more organic I like Trader Joe's Virtuoso.
I've always that that lip liner should match the color of your lipstick but you tell me
that's not the case.
Tell me what i should get
how to apply it
Well first your lipliner should match the color of your lips instead of your lipstick.
The way you apply it
is to start in the center of the lip making an "M" mark
and connect this end to this end
and then in the bottom it's like an inverted table top. Start in the center
and then connect and connect
and that's it
How do you choose which shade is right for us?
The lips should be muted
when you put emphasis by the eyes
and these days the look is stronger eyes and softer lips
It's best to use a lip brush to apply your lipstick
It's easier to fill in the lips
What about lip gloss? Is that something you should only use the evenings?
No I use lip gloss
in the day as well as in the evening
and what's great about lip gloss is that it gives you a nice to dewy appearance
let's talk about the last step - Bronzer.
I think it's something that's relatively new and something that people can be of
afraid of up because they think it might be like if a fax tan or
have a funny color but you use it in a very particular way
I use bronzer around the temples and the around the hair line around the jaw line,
a little on the tip of the notes and also in the hollow of the cheek because
this way it warms the face
and in the evening you could bring it down to your décolleté
if you have a scoop neck
and it warms the whole body up very nicely
Regina looks marvelous. You did a wonderful tutorial. Thanks so much for helping us.
She has a great day look now.
And thannk you Regina for being such a wonderful model
it was a pleasure
but this is
one more thing
If you want to change the day look into a night look
You simply take a darker shadow and apply it to the other corners of the lids
and carry it a little bit down, maybe three-quarters of the way under
the eye and blend it and there you are you've added a little zing for the evening
I hope you've learned as much as I have
