Back in 2008 I attended World Youth day in Sydney, and I have some great memories of
the event. This year it is being held in the beautiful city of Madrid and over one million
people are expected to attend, many from Australia
If you’re preparing to go, there are some simple things you can do to make your trip
as safe and as hassle free as possible.
Visit smartarveller.gov.au and subscribe to the travel advisory for Spain as well as the
travel bulletin covering the World Youth Day 2011. Also please register your travel details
on the Smartraveller website so we can locate you in an emergency.
If you take these simple steps I’m sure you’ll have a truly happy time, a memorable
