How can I copy a process from one project to another, within the same database?
For example, I would like to copy a few processes
from the project ‘Tutorial with wood example’,
to the project ‘Introduction to SimaPro 7’.
To do that, first open the project 'Introduction to SimaPro 7'.
Then, click the Show data of all projects button in the toolbar.
The data of all projects and libraries you have the right to view are now shown.
For a quick overview, select the check box Show as list and then filter by project.
Next, select the processes you want to copy from the project ‘Tutorial with wood example’.
Let’s assume that these are the processes Petrol B300 and Natural gas B300.
Make sure to hold down the CTRL key for multiple selections.
Next, go to the Edit menu and select Copy Tree.
Since most processes link to other processes that are in other projects or libraries,
the Copy Tree function allows you to copy the selected data, including the underlying processes,
to your current project. Thus all data will be in your project.
So if any changes to the linked processes are made later, or by other users, your results will not be affected.
Click Yes to confirm and to proceed with copying.
If you now search for the process Petrol B300, for example,
you will see that it can be found in both projects.
