In steaming hot Budapest, Panasonic adds another item to their already vast collection of mirrorless cameras
In the conferenceroom of a hotel, Panasonic launched the DMC G5
It's a mirrorless camera, or as Panasonic prefers to call it: digital single lens mirrorless
It's the counterpart of the digital single lens reflex camera's
The G5 is the successor of the G3, has a 16 megapixel sensor
And ISO ranging from 160 up to 12800
It has a wide range of autofocus options and you can snap up to 6 pictures per second in full resolution
Film function is present as well in Full HD at 50 fps
As you can see the video quality is not bad at all
On the back it has a 3" touchscreen which you can use to focus
If you want you can use the electronic viewfinder very usefull in bright sunlight
Another upside of the camera is the built-in gyroscope
To make sure you keep the camera upright when taking pictures
You can use manual-mode, but the camera has automatic options as well
For instance some nice, creative filters
The Panasonic G5 will be available in august the price is still unknown
