Often times with multiple dogs in one house it could make coming and going a little bit
more stressful, a little bit more activity among the dogs so it is always good to develop
a routine that you got so you can separate dogs when you leave that when you come back
they are not all trying to vibe for attention and meet you at the door. It is a nice management
tool to keep everything calm, everybody relaxed so what I will do for example (come here Ursula)
I'm going to put the 2 girls upstairs and you can see(Ursula this way go on upstairs)
I got little gate up there and we got a routine(go upstairs Raven) let's go upstairs got a routine
up here so they would know when I tell them to go upstairs they can go up there, I close
the gate. Now I got one dog left in the house so I'm just going to leave the house and come
back in the house again. You stay here Ty I will be back. You wait. So when I come back
into the house hi baby, hi kiddo I just got one dog that I'm interacting with if I had
all three here they would be all jumping at me. So now that I'm in the excitement of me
coming home is gone down a bit I can go upstairs you can see how the girls are relaxed. They
are not even at the gate and I can open the gate and they can come down at there own time.
Hi kid do you want a cookie? Ursula you want a cookie? Good girl, there you go, good job
and so that is one way of managing the dogs when you are going to be coming back into
the house.
