>> Hi, I'm Giuliana and he is Daniele,
welcome back to our kitchen,
today we are going to cook together the focaccia flat bread.
To prepare our focaccia we will need:
500 gr of flour,
250 ml of warm water,
20gr of fresh yeast,
here it is!
2/3 table spoons of olive oil,
and salt.
This for the mixture
Later we will also need half a glass of oilve oil
some salt grains
and some more water.
Let's start cooking!
We put the fresh yeast
into this bowl and we will melt it in some water
and when it will start bubbling we will add the flour.
We add the flour...
and we start kneading adding water little by little.
We add 2/3 table spoons of oil too.
Daniele finished kneading
now we trasfer the mixture in a bowl covered with flour to avoid it sticking
and we leave to rise for at least 2 hours
covering it with a blanket to keep it warm.
and now we leave it rest for 2 hours, see you later.
2 and a half hours passed
and we can check the mixture.
Now we place it on the table covered with flour.
While Daniele finishes kneading
I'll oil the tray.
It's important to keep it thin
because the peculiarity of the focaccia is that it's not too thick.
After placing it in the tray
we leave it rising for another hour.
An hour passed
we can now take the mixture
which rested in the tray
and push the fingers in the mixture to create some holes.
We add some salt grains.
As the peculiarity of the focaccia
is to be moist we add some cool water.
We can now bake the focaccia
the over is pre-heated at 240°
and it will cook for a quarter of an hour.
Right before the end of the baking process
we will brush it with some oil
half a glass of oil
at least twice.
See you later!
The focaccia is ready, we will cut it and dish it out.
And here is the finished focaccia
that's all for today
enjoy your meal and see you soon...ciao!
