Silence
This is the compressor or the motor
inside of an air conditioner.
All the white stuff that you see is
actually, ice.
As you can see, it is affecting
the refrigerant line that is coming
out of the compressor
and outside of the air conditioning unit.
This is a complete and total block of ice.
As refrigerant gets low, it forces the unit
to overwork and can cause all
sorts of equipment failures.
Watch the frozen line.
With the air conditioner off you can
see the ice melting and the line
going back to its natural metallic color.
Since Freon does not degrade or lose
volume as it ages, there is a leak
somewhere that needs to be
fixed by trained professionals.
