Hi! I'm Bob D'amicantonio and I'm here with my brother Lou on behalf of Expert Village. We are going to talk a little bit about the care of your boat shoes. Here we have probably one of the most recognized shoes around it is the good old classic boat shoe; been around since the 1940's, turned in to be a real big fad probably in the 1970's and they are still going strong. Actually most people would buy these and never even think about doing anything to them but it's really not a good idea to do anything to them especially is you are really using them around water. For shoes like this, we recommend like a leather conditioner. Most people don't want to put shoe polish on then because it's going to make a mess. You do really want to treat them; something like this lexol it will replenish the oils left behind especially if you are getting them wet around water because wet and dry repeatedly is what is going to crack the leather. Maybe once a month or so you might want to rub a leather conditioner on them.
