I support the Let’s Learn NC campaign, because after graduating from high school in Thomasville, North Carolina, I was awarded over $80,000 in college scholarships that was taken away from me when they found out that I was not a citizen and therefore not eligible to qualify or be awarded government money. Now, I work to earn money one semester to pay for community college classes the next semester because I have to pay out of state tuition—which is four times the amount of in-state tuition! I want to be a successful singing artist, but I still know the importance and value of a good education for myself and my state. Let’s Learn, North Carolina!
