hi this is karen titus from stamping on the back porch today's card is going is part of
a series of cards that i'm doing about using the hearts collection framelits today we're
going to make a quilted card this is a fun card so look we're starting with a strawberry
slush base card and i've run that through the arrows textured folder that makes the
background and then i've used the banners the banners framelits to do the two banners
here i'm used kaleidoscope designer series paper and the cool thing you can see that
this wouldn't be long enough because i want this longer all i need to do with the banners
is put them through like this and then when i run them through i'm still going to get
those nice sharp corners ok so then on to the heart so i first have this is going to
be the size of the heart so i just cut a piece of paper out thats going to fit this then
i'm going to take my snail and go all the way just make sure this is nicely covered
then i'm of course just going to do parts of this on a video to just show you how this
all works i'll put that there and just keep building i'm going to overlap a little if
it doesn't quite go where i want it to be ok so that will be enough to show that one
so then i'm going to run this through and next i'm going to take a stampin write marker
and i could use any of these colors and now you can see i made this kind of a oh i don't
know a kid could have done it or someone's first quilt kind of a crazy pattern and i
just went like this and did i did not make sure everything was the same size at all i
just continued overlapping you're going to see some are close together and then even
on the outside i went around it like that so i did that all through the heart then i
ran it through the square lattice embossing folder to give the quilted look so that's
it for the pieces of the card and then i just trimmed the edge a little with the vintage
trinkets the little safety pin and i just love that and a little bit of the crochet
trim so it just looks like a vintage kind of card and its really quick and simple to
do with the heart framelits so if you're enjoying this please visit my blog at stamping on the
