AMG vs AMG?
...not really - I would call it AMG (C63) vs "AMG light".
but there is a little surprise when I compared the 0-100 km/h time
and there is a big difference between both suspensions and the brake systems.
in my opinion the C43 AMG isn´t a real "AMG".
it´s more something like Audi´s "S-Line" or BMW "M-Performance"...
The most "AMG" in the C43 is the bodykit.
and I still can´t understand why Mercedes called it first "C450 AMG" and some months later they decided to change the name into "C43 AMG"
It looks like the marketing manager did a bad job.
one car but 2 available names for it?
just imagine... You bought it as "C450"... 2 years later you want to sell it but now everybody is just know it as "C43".
it could looks like you have an outdated modell (but you haven´t!
tell me : which one you would like to buy now? "C450 AMG" or "C43 AMG" - which sounds better?:D
the second thing is that the image (the word "AMG") becomes something less special.
more and more people starts to own a car called "AMG".
for me this step is same senseless like there are 2x C63 / E63 AMG modells. But one of them got the "S" in it which brings 30-40 Hp more
30/40 HP difference more? This something you can´t feel it.
Third strange thing is... why they stopped call the modells by displacement?
I mean this 2 cars here should be called "C40" vs "C30" AMG. But someone of that smart manager thought maybe... "C40"...? That sounds not that powerful like "C63" do.
but we all know that the "C63" (W204) had his name because of the 6.2L displacement. In this case it also was wrong because it should be called "C62".
an other modell which the W204 series got was the "C300". It was a 3.0L V6.
and this is what we got here! A "C300" with an AMG style bodykit which you don´t have to order as optional.
Got an other opinion to this car? Tell me in the comments!
