Now we're going to move to the referee's position. And What I just showed you, the neutral (position)
right there, that's how you get to the referee position. You always start off in neutral,
then you sprawl, then you shoot. Whoever takes it down, you'll get in this position right
here, this is the referee's position, and it starts off, you're going to be right here,
this is the bottom. I'm going to show you, get on your hands and knees like that, face
this way up. I'm going to come over here, right here, elbows, hand to the elbow right
here, chin right here, and you're going to bring your right arm, and you're slowly going
to bring it right here the left arm, and your slowly going to go like this, and the ref's
going to be waiting, and your going to put it right on the belly button. Right there.
This is the referee position, right there. His head is going to be up, he's going to
be right here, this is the refereeing position. Alright, I'm going to show you, just some
basic movements from bottom. Say your in his position where he was on bottom, you get taken
down, you try to sprawl and it doesn't work out, you're on bottom. This movement you can
practice by yourself, it's called a switch and it's one of the best moves you can get
because it's a two point move. Now taking somebody down, if you take them down from
neutral, you get two points. That's two points, if you get behind them, two points. That's
considered a take down. Okay? And when you're on bottom, you're on bottom and you switch
to become on top, whoever is on top is the one who's in power. You want to be on top.
So whoever is on top gets two points. If they go from bottom to getting on top. So, we're
going to be on bottom and our goal is to get back on top. So we're right here and this
is the switch right here. It's about three steps, first step right here is you're going
to take this left arm and you?re going to move it to the right of your hand, right here.
Then you're going to take your but and your legs and you're going to kick it out like
this. Right there, and when you do that, bring your right arm right here, because your wrist
is going to be right here. Then you're going to take this right here, you're going to sit
back, you're going to take a right arm, reach under their leg, bring it back, and flip them.
I'll go over it again. Nice and slow so you can see it. The referee's position, we're
on bottom and starting off right here, step one, left arm, sit out, grabs the wrist, reach
back, turn, switch. Alright, now we're going to start off, this is a referee?s position
right here and I'm going to show you what a switch looks like with you're partner. You're
going to be right here, just the same exact thing, you're just doing it with somebody
behind you. Alright, so you're going to take right here, see how his left arm is right
there, I got to get that off my arm. So I'm going to do that move, right over here, left
arm over here, I'm sitting out, grabbing the wrist right here. He's right here, I'm going
to grab his left arm right here, I'm going to reach underneath his leg, lean into it
like this. See how I'm leaning? I'm leaning in, use the leverage of the arm, come back
around like this and you're on top.
