I am going to tell you something,
not for creating an absurd image of myself,
but for telling you that
the Adepts, when they really want
to help us, first they test us,
and if the devotee is intelligent,
he must undergo the test
without saying a word,
and, if he does not pass it, he must be
prepared for the next occasion,
and accept it, and try to pass
the test. This is very important.
One day -I comment this
in the book we have written, titled
Samael Aun Weor, the Absolute Man-
the Master wanted to send me
to the North of Mexico for a work
that was going to last about one month.
I had bought the fly ticket,
and the Master drove me to the airport.
When we arrived to the counter of the company
for doing the check-in, I showed my ticket.
The man looked at it,
Examined it and told me:
«You are late».
And I said:
«Pardon?»
«You are late».
Then I asked:
«Did the plane take off?»
«No». «And the rest of the passengers, where are they?»
«They are there, look».
They were seated,
as you are seated here.
I said:
«Well, then, there is no problem.
Please, do the check-in,
and I'll go to sit there».
The Master was observing all this
from the corner of that counter.
And that man said:
«Yes, I can do that,
but you have to pay
600 pesos for the delay».
I thought that it was an abuse.
Then I said:
«No, I am not going to pay
600 pesos. I have bought my ticket,
the plane has not take off, people are seated there,
They have not even entered the plane.
Let me go in».
«No, no, no -that man said to me-,
you have to pay 600 pesos
and I will do your check-in».
Then, all my demons moved within me,
and I told him:
«Look, the question is that
you are a thief aren't you?
You are a thief!».
Then I touched the self-love
Of that man, and he said:
«Ah!, now I do not do your ticket
even if you pay the 600 pesos». Then,
another of my demons came out
worse than his
and I said:
«Well, then tell me
where your boss is».
And that man said:
«Over there».
Then I went there,
I opened the door without knocking (which is a lack of respect),
and when I opened the door there were two men
seated there, each one at his table,
and I asked them:
«Who is the director?»
And one of them said: «I am».
«You -I said- and all the animals
who work here are total thieves,
thieves. Thank you».
And I threw the door.
The Master was observing all of that
from the corner. Well, I went out
and I said;
«Give me the ticket».
He gave me the ticket and I went
to another air company, also from Mexico.
In Mexico there are two companies:
Aeromexico and "Mexicana de Aviacion",
and they accept the tickets of
any of both companies. I told the other man:
«Good morning. Look, your colleague,
who is over there, is a thief,
he did not want to do my check-in
and I am going to miss the plane.
May you do it, please?».
Then that man said to me:
«First, do not call thief to my colleague.
And why did not he want to do it?».
«Well, because he says that I have
to pay 600 pesos».
The man said:
«The check-in is already closed,
and the rules of the airline say that
if someone comes after the check-in,
he has to pay a fine».
And I told him:
«What crime have I committed
to pay that fine? I am here with my suitcases.
Do not be so complicated -I replied-.
Take my suitcases, do the check-in,
and I will go to sit down there».
«No, these are the intellectual rules of this world».
«Well -I said to him-, what must I do?».
«Pay the 600 pesos to me».
I put my hand in the pocket (trembling
because I was full of anger),
I took out 600 pesos and I gave them
to that man, with rage. He finally did
the check-in and I went to sit down,
but before sitting down I said goodbye to the Master.
Then, he embraced me and giving me a few pats
in the back, he said:
«Have a good travel».
And then he stretched his arm around my shoulder,
We walked a few steps, and he told me:
«Do you realize that
the inner work is not anything?
Then, I felt small and insignificant,
and I told him:
«You are right!»
However, an aggregate came out and
answered to the Master:
«Look, Master, it happens that
I have a question». «Which one?»
«I think that the fools
are punished here and also in the heaven,
and I do not want to be fool».
And he answered:
«That is not the question, whether you
are fool or not. You have to adapt yourself to the rules
of physical world, which are many.
Mind that if you try
to organize the world according to your caprices,
you will never be able to do it.
The important thing is that you
do not lose your peace. That is the most important».
Well, when the Master said this,
I started to cry.
People looked at me strangely:
«This man is crying and embracing the other».
Well, I hugged him and I took a seat
with the ticket in my hand and crying.
There I was, crying.
Finally, I went to do what I had to do.
Ah, this is not all! I told him:
«Master, I do not know why, but
I think that all of this has been organised by you, right?
If it is so, I failed the test, didn't I?»
And he told me:
«Yes, you have failed,
but you will undergo it on another occasion».
Then, I felt worse, because I felt that
I had been rude, fatuous, silly,
absolute silly, false disciple;
I felt of everything. That day I felt as
as a cockroach among hens,
that is to say, as a very strange thing.
And I could never forget it.
From that moment I said to myself:
«If this happens to you today,
and it keeps on happening and happening,
in the end, you are not going to do anything in life
because the mind always is going to
justify your behaviour. So,
from now on, bite your tongue,
swallow earth, and accept your mistakes,
and try to correct them».
Thus, with these shocks,
with these emotional crises
-says the Master - one can
realize of his mistakes
and one can correct them.
Are we going to cry a lot
because we will suffer many shocks?
Yes, of course! That's why Gnosis says:
«If the water does not boil at hundred degrees,
there will not be burnt what has to be burnt
and will not be crystallized what has to be crystallized».
