CALEB LABARDA: Okay, now that we have all
our basics down, it's time to do the 720.
Okay, so you must have your tornado kick down
and both your other kicks--your crescent kick
and your hook kicks down--and be able to jump
and do both kicks in a 360 rotation. Now,
we're going to bring it in the air and do
one more rotation all the way back around,
okay? So, the easy way to do it, you gotta
know your tornado kick. Do a reverse hook
kick. So spinning hook kick, okay? And then
from here, you're going to jump, bring up
the knee, spin, spin, spin. Now instead of
throwing your tornado kick that's going to
come around, you're going to spin one more
halfway around and throw a hook kick. And
that's going to be your 720 and you're going
to do that all in the air, okay? So from here,
let's just do it from standing. From your
spinning, jump. This is going to be your tornado
kick, skip it. That's where you're going to
crescent right there. Spin all the way around,
hook kick. And that's going to be 720. So
it's going to look like this. So, remember,
when you're doing your 720, practice doing
that from standing. That's going to be better
for you. Okay, from here, wind up, pre-pivot,
spin, jump, spin, spin, spin, and hook kick
all the way around, okay? And that's going
to be a really good 720 for you. If you can
do it from standing, that's going to be better.
That's going to make you more powerful and
more accurate and a better martial artist
altogether to help you really define your
kicks.
