The letter s presents some challenges because it has a lot packed into this small space
of the x height. So I will draw an s for you here. And then we'll de-construct it. Again,
the s is broken down into three strokes. The spine of the s, is what the Greeks consider
to be one of the most beautiful shapes in the world which is a reverse curve. The cap,
we're going to finish with a little bit of an exit stroke there, and the lower cap. Now
this go, we call that they break the guidelines a little bit so that we don't make too compressed
the letter. So one, two, three. And if you think of it, the axis of this letter is slanting
forward. So one, two, three. You'll notice that the ball or the curve of the top of the
s is smaller than the curve at the bottom of the s to give it some sort of visual balance.
