A Cursive Memory was a Pop Rock band from Los Angeles, California. The band originally formed as Sincerely Me in 2003 after members Colin Baylen and Shaun Profeta had met at a birthday party. Mark Borst-Smith and Brian Bolen completed the foursome. This original lineup featured Baylen on rhythm guitar and vocals; Bolen on lead guitar and vocals, Borst-Smith on keyboards, bass guitar, and vocals; and Profeta behind the drums. They started off playing covers of some of their favorite bands, such as blink-182 and Jimmy Eat World, but eventually grew to write their own original songs and adopted the name A Cursive Memory.
