Are Samsung kitchen appliances any good?
Stay away from their fridges. The freezers tend to freeze over.
That’s the definition of a freezer, something that freezes.
They build up melt water from the defrost cycle before refreezing, making the freezer
look like a scene from Frozen. And that’s on top of the water line to the ice maker
freezing.
Where does the leaking come from?
The ice maker lines tend to freeze, causing water to leak from the intake when it can
not go down the hose. And the ice build up eventually gets so bad the water leaks out
of the freezer.
I guess that’s better than the Whirlpool fridges whose lights get so hot that they
melt and warp the plastic shell.
Their fridges are not cool, and their ovens are not so hot. Well, those ovens that won’t
turn off are a fire hazard.
What about their ranges?
Samsung’s smart TVs and smart phones are great. But they do not seem to be smart enough
to make decent smooth top ovens, that all rate mediocre to poor.
Their ovens have decent self-cleaning options.
Which have a fair chance of melting the lining off the interior of the oven.
That’s rather counterproductive for a self-cleaning option.
Then there’s the fact that the temperature sensors often malfunction, so you may not
know the right temp or it does not get as hot as you think it would.
I’m turning green just thinking about it.
What? Dealing with their lousy customer service or the cost of the repairs?
Getting sick from undercooked food.
Samsung fridges are near the bottom in terms of reliability. Their ranges are about as
bad as LG ovens and ranges.
LG makes lousy appliances.
Just get a Frigidaire or Whirlpool or Kenmore, and it’ll be fine.
Uh, not the Whirlpools that catch fire.
