welcome to manifesto in a minute and today I'm going to be speaking to you about influencing
the national executive council (NEC)
the NEC place has to be more than simply giving the disabled students
perspective on the motions and papers that come before NEC
it needs to be about delivering motions and papers to the NEC alongside
the disabled students' officer on our liberation
bringing those issues to the heart of NUS
our autonomous campaign will always be the leader of our work and activism
but that doesn't mean that we can not mobilise disabled activists and
allies in the wider movement
I am the candidate to do this
you have seen this by the fact i've been able to mobilise support my campaign
from committee members in the end NUS Society and Citizenship committee,
women's committee, LGBT committee, black students committee, disabled students
committee and the national executive council itself.
if you want a candidate who will bring our liberation into the heart of NUS
and demand it be heard,
if you want a candidate who can mobilise support from fellow activist and allies
across the movement; vote Jawanza. number one for second place NEC
