Thank you Rudy. And I'll just gently sit down in my sled. And I have tipped the upper ice
fly with a perch eye. The flasher which drops down to a minimal on a straight hook. I'm
going to drop that down the hole and as is with classic hand lines I'm going to lower
that to the bottom by unwrapping the line from the hand line. And when we hit bottom
we'll know because the line will go slack. There's the bottom. We're going to bring it
up a couple of wraps. One, two, three. And we're going to begin our jigging process.
Which as Rudy demonstrated, very gentle jig at first. Just gently up and down. Maybe a
quarter to half an inch at a time. And then every once in a while we want to pull up with
a high lift like so and let it settle back down. The high lift allows the flasher to
reflect light and attract the attention of schools of perch or whatever else is swimming
by. Typically perch, crappy, bluegill or smelt. So we're jigging gently. We're also keeping
a close eye on the line because it's going to, if it moves toward the side of the hole
there may be a fish pushing it. So we're going to be gently jigging. Every once in a while
doing a high lift. And we'll wait for a good bite.
