IT'S SOMETHING THAT WE WANTED TO DO.
THE OPPORTUNITY PRESENTED ITSELF SO WE DECIDED TO TAKE IT.
ESCAPING THE TAXING TORONTO WINTERS,
THE BRIDGES FLEW 1,700 MILES SOUTH
TO THE WARMER CLIMATES OF GRAND CAYMAN.
BUT AFTER SIX MONTHS,
THIS FAMILY OF FOUR IS STILL IN TRANSITION.
YOU KNOW, COMING FROM A BIG CITY
WHERE IT'S VERY, VERY BUSY AND FAST-PACED,
YOU HAVE TO LEARN TO SLOW DOWN.
AND WE'RE JUST GETTING USED TO CHILLING IT.
WHOA!
AFTER SETTLING
ON THE CONVENIENT SEVEN MILE BEACH,
THEY QUICKLY REALIZED THE LOCATION WAS A GOOD FIT,
BUT LIVING IN A BEACH CONDO DOESN'T FEEL LIKE HOME.
GIVEN THAT WE'RE IN A RENTAL RIGHT NOW,
THIS STILL FEELS LIKE SOMEWHAT OF A TEMPORARY MOVE.
THERE DOESN'T SEEM TO BE ENOUGH SPACE FOR ALL THE THINGS
THAT GO ALONG WITH THE ACTIVE LIFESTYLE WE NEED.
(Ian) I WANT TO FEEL PART OF A COMMUNITY,
KIND OF LIKE A NEIGHBORHOOD FEEL THAT WE GREW UP IN CANADA.
GOOD? CAN I HAVE A BITE?
TIME MAY SLOW DOWN ALONG THE TROPICAL SHORES
OF THIS TINY CARIBBEAN ISLAND,
BUT IN THE CAPITAL CITY GEORGE TOWN
BUSINESS IS BOOMING.
WITH OVER 600 BANK AND TRUST COMPANIES,
IT'S CONSIDERED THE FIFTH LARGEST BANKING CAPITAL
IN THE WORLD.
CAYMAN IS VERY SOPHISTICATED. IT'S EXTREMELY ELEGANT.
THESE NEW RESIDENTS ARE HOPING TO FIND SPACE
AND LUXURY OFF THE BEATEN PATH.
