Hi, I'm Kevin from skis.com. Today I'm going to give you a quick run down of Volkl's line up
of twin tip freestyle skis for the 13/14 season. Start off here
with the Alley. The Alley's like the little brother in the collection for that developing park rider
or somebody that's just looking to get their feet wet in the park scene. We've got the
Ledge which is the baby brother to the Step. When you go from the Ledge to
or the Step to the Ledge, when you upgrade there you gain carbon. Both these are fully symmetrical
skis so it's really designed for that true park riding. More of a
center mount position. With the Wall and the
Kink, these are directional park skis so somebody that's skiing pipe,
maybe slope style or skiing a combination of park and all-mountain skiing.
Definitely check out the Wall and Kink there.
Brand new skis from Volkl this year, you've got the One and the Two. These are backcountry
freestyle skis, something that Volkl's kind of been missing in their line up for a while. They
feature full rocker. We've got tapered, you know, sidecut
in the tip and tail so it really lowers that swing weight, allows the ski to plane,
you know, in deep snow a lot better. Biggest difference here is the width.
You know, the Two is 124 and then you've got the
One at 116 so definitely depending on what type of
conditions you're skiing in, that's the biggest difference between those skis there.
If you'd like more information on these skis, definitely check out our on-snow video reviews, featured on
