Hey, what's up guys! Mike Chang, Six Pack Shortcuts. So I get a lot
of email responses from a lot of you guys, a lot of you all younger viewers, teenagers
and stuff like that; that have been asking me which exercises are the best to put on
muscle mass. Now you see in the video we do a lot of exercises and there are so many different
variations of everything out there, but if I had to narrow it down to where you want
to spend most of your time on these exercises I can narrow it down to three exercises for
you to put on most amount of muscle mass and this really goes for all age groups, but I
get a lot of responses and a lot more questions from a teenager guys trying to put on more
size. So the three exercises to put on most amount of mass at the fastest rate is number
one bench press, because I know you all guys want the show-muscles and what I mean by show-muscles
the chest, the arms, the shoulders. Bench press is by far the best one. Go with the
flat bench. Inclined bench is good, but if we had to take the best exercise to put on
the most amount of size for your chest, shoulders, and triceps that will be the flat bench. The
second exercise would be dead lifts. So dead lifts really put lot of good size on your
back. It really gives a good thickness to your back, makes you super strong, builds
a strong core, but at the same time it works your hamstrings, it works your legs, and it
works so many vital muscle groups. The stronger you get at dead lifts the stronger you are
going to get at everything else. So make sure you spend a lot of good time at that too.
The next exercise and last one is squats. Barbell squats done with free weights, no
machines, no leg extensions or anything like that. Remember we are going with the most
effective stuff. So squats, barbells squats, free weights is the next and the best exercise
to put on size for your legs, but also squats will go ahead and make your core super strong,
because you ve got to remember guys when you are doing a squat, you are, let s grabbing
this here. Obviously, you are going to go with bigger bar and more weight, but when
you go with this squat remember even though you are squatting down and you re working
your legs, but imagine how much pressure it is here in your abs, here in your back and
also just the weight on your back. I mean this takes a lot of strength and control to
really hold that weight up as you're squatting down, which is why although a lot of people
really oversee it because they think I don t care so much about legs, but guys, squats
will go ahead and really build a lot of size for your back and a lot of people don t realize
it and honestly guys I didn t really realize it until years before. I didn t realize that
by doing squats that I am actually making my back stronger. I was thinking I was just
working on legs. But once I realized is when I stopped squatting. I stopped squatting for
a few months. Now I realized I was getting weaker in dead lifts, I was getting weaker
in bench, I was getting weaker in curls, I was getting weaker in everything. So guys
these three exercises are the best to putting on size, and if you get really strong at these
three exercises you're going to get stronger in every single lift that you're going to
do in the gym and by far you can get leaner and get bigger and you all know what happens
