My name is Lauren and on behalf of Expert Village and I'm going to talk to you about
styles on the go. Another way to dress up an easy style like this, to make it a little
different from day to day is to grab a section of hair from the nape of your neck. Especially
with longer hair this will work. You separate it, split the sections, about an inch wide.
Split the sections into two. Put a little bit of product on them, smooth them and just
roll them around each other. Twist them. Depending on how much you want your rope to be noticed
you are going to make them bigger sections or smaller sections. If I wanted this to be
thicker I would grab more than that inch. After you finished twisting you are simply
going to lift it, place it over the head, take a bobbie pin and place the bobbie pin
going directly into where that teased area is. What that's going to do is help hold this
rope headband which just made it a little fancier. And it's going to help the bobbie
pin stay in from the tease. Now most people, such as Ashleigh, her hair cannot make it
to the other side. So what you would then do is go to the other side of the nape of
the neck, pull out a section, follow the same exact protocol, smooth and rope it and then you will meet that half way through
the middle. You will lift, bring it back around, place it underneath the first rope that you
did, grab a bobbie pin and start it going backwards into the teased portion of hair
for better control. And then you can hide it underneath. As you can see it dressed up
her little do and made the hair a little bit fancier without anything and taking under
three minutes in order to do it.
