Just Dance - Lady Gaga Marry the Night, Madonna Super Bowl Halftime, Christmas Story, Travis Wall

SHEENA DIMATTEO: Lady Gaga dances it out in "Marry the Night," Team RaRas Kick Breast Cancer, and Lisbug talks A Christmas Story, the Musical. This is Just Dance for December 8, 2011. Hey guys, what's up? It's me, Sheena. I'm just here in New York City, enjoying all the festivities that the holidays here have to offer-- in between working and checking out what's happening in the dance world, of course. Let's see what's going on. Just days after Lady Gaga received multiple Grammy nominations for her album Born This Way, she released her 14-minute long, self-directed video for "Marry the Night." To me, this video is a complete masterpiece. It is Lady Gaga's best work. Not only can Lady Gaga sing, dance, and act, she can definitely direct. She's a quadruple threat. The entire video is choreographed by Richie Jackson, and I absolutely loved all the different styles of dance that he employed into this video. Loved Lady Gaga doing barre at the beginning, that fierce ballerina giving you an awesome leg extension up into second. And, my personal favorite, the two dance breaks in the dance studio. You know those dancers were having the time of their life breaking it down with Lady Gaga. In the dance studio we're seeing some hip hop moves, some jazz styles, and even some '80s style moves that are taking me back to the days of Flashdance. So I guess it's no secret that I love the video, but let's check in now with Joseph Birdsong to see what he thought about "Marry the Night." JOSEPH BIRDSONG: First of all, I don't know why everyone's saying the new Lady Gaga video is so weird. I mean, it looks just like a typical Saturday night to me; rubbing Cheerios all over my body, smashing some glass, and dying my hair blue. And then, of course, there is my favorite line out of the whole thing-- you may say I lost everything, but I still had my Bedazzler. And, of course, the dance numbers are pretty darn amazing, too. It was actually so catchy that I'm not sure I could be held responsible if I decide to go blow up some cars and kick some ballerinas out of the dance studio and perform some hardcore '80s dance moves. When all is said and done, I think, like it or not, Lady Gaga has given us another video that everyone is sure to be talking about. And lately you just cannot beat her dance moves. SHEENA DIMATTEO: Here at Just Dance, I've been following Madonna in her search for a new dancer to join her in her 2012 tour through the Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project. And we found out last month that it's Lil Buck. Well, it's just been announced that next year's tour will be making stops to North America, Southeast Asia, New Zealand, Australia, Israel, and Europe. Also, the NFL just confirmed that Madge will be headlining this year's Super Bowl Halftime Show, with a little help from Cirque Du Soliel, creative director Jamie King, and multimedia artists from Moment Factory. Martin Scorsese's latest movie, Hugo in 3D, has been winning fans ever since it came out around Thanksgiving. And the National Board of Review just named it the best film of the year. I know from watching the trailers that it looks absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to see how it turns out on the big screen in 3D, and, not to mention, I've heard it tugs on your heart strings a bit. The movie is choreographed by Diana Scrivener, and stars Sacha Baron Cohen, Ben Kingsley, and Chloe Moretz. In my family, the movie A Christmas Story is definitely a holiday staple. I think we have it on VHS and DVD, not to mention we watch it all day long Christmas Day for the 24-hour marathon. You can imagine how excited I am that A Christmas Story, the Musical is touring the country right now, with completely original songs and some really fun choreography by Warren Carlisle. I'm going to turn it over to Lisbug for her thoughts on Ralphie's big adventure. LISA SCHWARTZ: Hey you guys, it's me, Lisa Schwartz, Lisbug here on YouTube. And I wanted to let you know that, this month, the classic and iconic Christmas movie A Christmas Story is coming to your town on the big stage. Movies turned into musicals, usually not so great. However, after watching the trailer, I fell in love with little Ralphie. He's adorable, and he has a great voice-- reason enough to go see it. And also, that one kid sings a whole song with his tongue stuck on the pole, kind of funny. The dancing looks mediocre. There's a huge long cheesy kick line at the end. I guess if you have kids, reason enough to see it, or if you drink enough eggnog. SHEENA DIMATTEO: Speaking of Broadway musicals, an all new production of the Tony nominated Broadway show White Christmas has been mounted at Papermill Playhouse in New Jersey. So if you're a fan of this Irving Berlin classic, get on over to the Playhouse and check out some Tony nominated choreography by Randy Skinner and performances by a truly phenomenal cast. Oxygen just announced that there is a new docuseries in the works featuring Emmy nominated choreographer Travis Wall. It's called All The Right Moves and will follow Travis and his three roommates slash friends, Teddy Forance of Cirque Du Soliel, Nick Lazzarini, the first ever champion of So You Think You Can Dance, and Kyle Robinson, as they prepare to mount a dance troupe. Now, I always get pretty excited when a new dance reality TV show comes out, if not for some cool choreography then for the drama of it. Let me know below what you're excited about for All the Right Moves. Last year, Just Dance told you about a Philadelphia affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure organizing a dance video. The video features 136 former and current Philadelphia chapter NFL cheerleaders. Well, the United Healthcare of Pennsylvania donated $100,000 once that video reached 1 million views, and now they're really upping the ante. If Team RaRas Kicks Breast Cancer reaches 5 million views by December 13, 2011-- and I might add, they're around 4 million right now-- they will donate an additional $50,000. So get on over there and check out that video. You'll be doing your part to help kill breast cancer and raise awareness. Alright guys, that's all I have for you.
