My name is Kate Gammel, I'm from Germany. I study International Business and Management
at Aston University and at the moment I'm on a placement year
tonight and i Bergen tonight senator
team I enter everything about my placement
and I love every day and not allowed and
the things on time might most are
going to events that we organize near the Olympic Park
and venues which we might use in the summer.
And one thing which I particularly loved was at the beginning of my placement
I got the chance to go on a tour of the Olympic Park
and view everything - you know - all the venues getting built up
and everything getting ready for the games and that got me really excited
about my job and about the games and about how it's going to be
this summer - yes - Summer 2012. So I really enjoyed that
but I love every day and I wake up every day and I look forward to going to work.
I've got a fantastic team to work with and I really enjoy every aspect of my placement.
It's fantastic to have an Aston placement student working with us in
the team. I was really keen to look at Aston when we were recruiting for the role.
Kate - who's now working with us - is
absolutely fantastic, I really enjoy working with her, both personally
and professionally, where she was able to come into the team,
hit the ground running and actually Kate's role is
a hugely important role in our overall London 2012 sponsorship programme.
Kate works on our client programme for the games, specifically looking at
how our clients are going to experience London 2012
at games time and that really is crucial for us. You know, we're going to have clients that are
very, very significant clients to the firm that we'll be taking to the games
and using that to showcase what we do as a firm. All of the work that Kate's doing
now is absolutely crucial to making sure that
at the time of the games, that client has a good experience.
I feel really privileged and honoured
to have the opportunity to work on such a big project
as a placement student because this is the year, it's 2012,
it's the year of the Olympic and Paralympic Games being rolled out
and to have the fantastic chance to work on this
as a placement - it's just unbelievable.
And I'm really grateful that I have the chance to work on this
when this summer - everything's gonna come together
and the whole world and the UK are going to celebrate
the Olympic and Paralympic Games and I'm really proud to be a part.
