If you find you are having trouble connecting to your wireless network on your PC
follow these steps to learn how to form a proper connection.
Please note: Before establishing any connection you will need to have the network name or SSID;
the password if necessary; your encryption type - like WEP or WPA;
and the wireless standard used by your network.
First make sure you have your router or access point properly set up.
Consult your internet service provider, or the router's instructions to verify.
On your PC, make sure your LAN is on by pressing the Function (Fn) and F9 keys simultaneously.
"Wireless LAN On" will appear, or you will see a LAN Wireless icon become illuminated on the screen.
On some models, you may be asked to press Function and the F8 key simultaneously.
Consult your user manual for more information.
Now click on the Wireless Network icon in the bottom corner of your screen.
Choose the name of your preferred wireless network, and click Connect.
If prompted, enter in your wireless password, and click OK.
Your wireless connection will now be established.
You will know you've been successful when the icon becomes completely white.
