Church Planting in Ecuador - Documentary film

This whole adventure began when a brother in our church Mike Osborn discovered on the internet ministry called 3E Equip, Evangelize, and Establish if i'm correct their goal used to to plant 100,000 churches around the world Well, the area that we're in today is the are where the pastor lives and it's called "Metropolis" it's a gated community it's deffinatly a bit more upscale in terms of we'd normally see in Ecuador I offer my house for people that need Jesus Christ we explain to them the love of Jesus for them it was marvelous to be with the group of Americans to know that they have the same vision as us that's the same passion that we have for the soles the name that's above all other names Jesus Christ our Lord and savior Our main objective is to be able to establish a new Church in this communitie. Because we need a worship center that is our main missions to be able to share with the people in order to establish the church And we've been going door-to-door shareing with the neighbors in this area sharing with them about the Lord and praying with them most of them either meet us at the front door or open their windows and and try to uh... talk to them through their windows and it kinda reminded me of maybe what it would be like if we were in the United States or preaching somewhere else we have run into a number of catholics as well so we've done is we've really we've gone in the first asked me to pray for their house if anything specific that they needed prayer for I feel sure, one-hundred percent sure that God wants to do something very important in this place. To be able to establish a church were the neighbors can meet and fellowship together My first time of stepping out to face something that we christians seem to be just terrified of was just to witness to an individual one-person individually at i don't know someplace like a uh... hamburger place or Mcdonalds somewhere on the street i've never really done something like this before it's my first time doing it, but what i've been told before is that it's like going swimming The water's cold when you get in at first, but just you just have to dive right in and just do it and you'll warm up and you'll do it, and God's with you the whole time at the Bible says that He will never leave you or forsake you you go out and have a plan about what you're going to do and just have a general outline of what you're going to say eighteen years of coming to Guayaquil, this is our first time to attempt to plant churches. Actually we've never planted one church but this year attempting to plant two churches this is my third-year Guayaquil job the last two years i spent on the construction team this year i felt like the Lord was calling me somewhere else so i began to pray about different ministries in Guayaquil I prayed about the prison team, the community team and the church planting team and the church planting was the team that i do probably been littlest about because this is the first year that we've ever done it The're are challenges in whatever we try to do in sharing the gospel with other people we've talked to different different groups of people they've been books that uh... that are lauren com make seem to be fairly fairly receptive but but we've got a challenge here uh... in hearing work
