2014 Obermeyer Mackenzie Womens Ski Jacket Overview by Skis

Hi, I'm Brigitte. This is Slope Style. I'm here with Lisa from Obermeyer and we're going to talk about the McKenzie Jacket. This jacket is very beautiful and first I'd like to just talk about the little features that you have on it as far insulation, is it warm enough? Absolutely. This is our Snow Silk fabric so it's one of our prettiest most feminine looking fabrics. It feels very satiny. It is. It has a satin look and a satin finish to it. With this one we do have our PrimaLoft Insulation so it's 100 grams so it's fully insulated. 100. That's pretty warm, if you get cold easy... It is. ...it would be a nice warm jacket for you. 100 weight is always considered fully insulated so it is a fully, fully insulated jacket. Along with the fabrics that we use it is very, very warm. Great. And you said it's waterproof too. Yep, it has a 10,000 waterproof and windproof rating so a very high rating for water and windproofing and also breathability. I want to see the inside. There must be, it just looks like there's a lot going on in here. Can you point them out? Absolutely. This jacket does have a removable stretch powder cuff on the inside so you can take it out if you want to wear it for an everyday type jacket. We also have a removable hood. Anytime we have an exterior hood, it is removable so that you can wear it without the hood. That's nice. A lot of women don't care for hoods so that's a nice feature to have. We have an electronics pocket here with a little hole so you can put your earphones through so your iPod or iPhone doesn't get wet. We have a reflective, heat reflective lining so it actually reflects the heat back to your body. This is our goggle pocket. It does have removable shammy for your sunglasses and... How handy is that? I know, isn't that great and you can pull it out and throw it in the washing machine so another great feature there. These tabs here are to tighten up around the bottom to keep the wind and the snow from coming up. You said washing machine, so you can wash this coat too? Absolutely. Throw it in the washing machine, hang it to dry, we always recommend a mild detergent but absolutely machine washable. I always wonder about that. So, I'm going to put this jacket on because the fit is incredible. Yeah, this is actually one of my favorite jackets in the line. It's just such a great fit. You said you're going to use this jacket, you think, for yourself, right? This is going to be mine. Well I have to, it's my daughter's name too. Oh that helps. So, what about the features on the front of the coat? You do have your two front handwarmer pockets and, of course, your little pocket, your chest pocket for your lip gloss or whatever you want to be very handy on the chairlift. This also has a stretch panel down the side so it does offer a real slimming, really attractive fit. So, that's a different fabric than this fabric here. It is. That is our stretch. And I can feel that, it feels very stretchy and comfortable too. And you want to see the back. I like how it has two tones so it makes you look a little bit more slimmer with the color blocking on it too. It does. And this is actually a charcoal color other than a black but it does go great with the blacks or with a gray. And it has hand ***. We didn't point that our earlier. So, you would say this jacket's great for... This is for anybody looking for a great fit but also wanting to keep warm and dry and fashionable. This is a very fashionable look on.
