Meet Your Heartbeat Twin - Xilabs

Hi there ! It's the fourth day here at Futur en Seine live from Place de la Bastille in Paris. A great popular event about new technologies. That means conferences, meetings and also new creations. And today we decided to show you one of these new creations : a modern role playing game with an indispensable tool, your mobile phone. A mobile phone, a heart rate sensor and good shoes ready to play a futuristic game : play "Meet Your Heartbeat Twin". In other words : find your twin in terms of heartbeat. The company Xilabs is specialized in urban games and Futur en Seine they shows their latest toy. The playground : all over la Bastille The scenario : 10 players equipped with heartbeat sensors and mobile phones showing the neighborhood map. The goal is to find an other player with the same heartbeat rate than you. But each player sees on his phone only the players with the same heartbeat rate as himself. That is the difficulty of the game because being close to your "twin", the excitement modifies your heartbeat rate and removes your twin from the screen. Not so easy this game of the future. "It's intriguing to see his own heartbeat rate on his phone and trying to change his own heart rate in the middle of the city, to find other people thanks to their avatars, we see that they arrive, they're near and suddenly we see that person unexpectedly ! People really enjoy this new experience."
