(Yeah), OK everybody, just in case if you are thinking
why all the yoga sessions start with the Surya Namaskar,
the reason of this one is all sessions of yoga asanas
begin with Surya Namaskar, or, Sun Salutation.
Surya Namaskar means Sun Salutations.
This excellent warming-up exercise
consists of [a] sequence of various positions
that move the spine in various ways
and promote flexibility in the limbs.
It is of special benefit to all levels of people,
as it helps people to gain flexibility.
It also regulates the breath and focuses the mind.
That’s why it’s always better to start any session of yoga asanas
with Sun Salutation.
Then you can move freely in a yoga posture,
when you’re practising,
plus you will not easily get injured,
because your body is warm.
OK? [laughs]
