Climate Based Controllers for Landscape Irrigation - Paul urzagaste

Hi, My name is Paul Urzagaste and I'm a Master's Student in the Department of Plants, Soils and Climate at Utah State University and this is my project Along with Dr. Kelly Kopp we decided to develop a project that would look into the study of Water Conservation Technologies, in this case we are evaluating Climate-Based Controllers for landscape irrigation Climate-Based Controllers or "Smart Controllers" as they're usually called measure the weather conditions to determine the amount of water that should be apply to the landscape We are measuring different characteristics in the landscape to make sure these smart controllers are working at its best, in other words if they are conserving water while keeping a beautiful landscape. one of the things that I like the most about my project is that the findings are directly applicable to the manufacturers, providing straight feedback for the improvement of these technologies. Being able to enjoy nature is one of the most Important things that I look when I'm working That's why I like Logan because it offers a big variety of things that you can do I LOVE mountaing biking, but I also like swimming in the lakes around, or going for a hike, or just simply going for a walk to the parks being able to work in water conservation gives me a different perspective to look at nature and a better understanding of what water conservation is all about.
