Martez Quarterman - Challenge enterprises at the naval station mayport

My name is Martez. It's spelled M A R T E Z and supplies on board ships and submarines at Naval Station Mayport. "Open on the end right here." "Alright" It gives them more time to do what they have to do on the ship, instead of worrying about who's gonna load the food on the ship That's where we come in. We help make their day go by easier. We know they're out here protecting our country, protecting us, so we do what we can for them. I've gotten to work in a team environment and I've gotten to know them, gotten to know everybody that I work out there with. "OK" "Don't get nervous" "Yes Sir" I've buckled down and I've put stuff aside for what's important to me. I've achieved a job, I'm thankful for the opportunity I've achieved at going to college. I'm still in college. I'm studying for a business management degree. I'm trying to make enough money to where I can take care of me and my folks, my parents, cause they took care of me. So it's truly been a blessing to have Martez. But also to see him go on to do college courses as well, which is very very important. For Martez to be where he is right now, its those individuals that have deposited a lot of good things in his life. His family is one part of that, his teacher also being a tutor for him after-hours. So Martez was able to go to her home on the weekends. One of my cousins, Mrs. Robinson, one of my schoolteachers, Mrs. Chanel especially my parents, gave me the ambition to go out there and get what I want with hard work and dedication. I understand, I haven't met his brothers yet, but his brothers were a strong influence in his life as well making sure that he stayed on the right path. He's become a vocal point on the team. What I mean about vocal point is that, Martez gives a little bit of direction, and that direction is important into which the team is able to operate and to be able to be successful. He is one of our key players on the SBL Mayport team. I would like to see Martez fulfill his goal, to always to be able to take care of himself. That's his goal, and that's what motivates him. His attitude and his performance has rubbed off on a lot of the other employees. They see that in Martez, and they look at Martez and say "Wow" if he can do this, then I should be able to come in as well, with the same attitude, and being positive, and wanting to achieve everything that I can achieve.
