How to Make Cards with Sponges - Kids arts & crafts - Using a homemade sponge for art projects

Hi! This is Brenda, today we’re working on our cards using sponges. Now I think for this project today I'm going to use our household sponge and I just cut out a strip here and I'm just going to begin using our acrylic paints and gold here. I'm just going to paint randomly here on the sponge and it does soak it up so we do have to keep painting over and over it, I'm going to be using a 5x8 index cards, that’s a good hardy stop to use because it does take to the paint well and I'm just going to make like kind of like a boarder here on this 5x8 little card that I have. You could also if you’d like to just dip into the paint if you whether do that, that’s a little bit quicker then painting it on, I'm just taking it here and putting it on the card, as you could tell it makes a interesting effect making like kind of a boarder, I'm going to put one down here and I'm going to put a little more paint on and make one right here. Now if we want to we could write someone’s name here, maybe it’s their birthday or their anniversary, you could put a little message here, a little quote if you want to, make a little tiny envelope and it’s ready for the mail once it’s dried.
