Scholarship Award Ceremony

[music] The foundation has numerous and very committed, very generous donors and we applaud their efforts. Our goal is to help them help themselves and we're all doing that together. HACC is Central Pennsylvania's Community College and the vitality of HACC is the vitality of the region. The stories they tell really are compelling and in how they've made a difference and how HACC has made a difference in their lives. You're helping students who may not otherwise receive an education. For me it's been an unbelievably great experience. When I got the email, I was like checking to make sure that it had the right name I'm like, this is for me? I thought it can't be, it can't be me. When I got the email, I was so excited, I'm like I can't believe, like they actually noticed me. Besides crying, I was excited, I told my parents. I called my mom up, I was about in tears. because I just couldn't believe it. When I received a scholarship I was elated I A would have done a backflip if I could. Elation for the whole rest of the day. I felt honored and excited. And I was excited, I was humble, but yet I was really encouraged to continue to to work harder. I felt gracious and grateful that I was picked. The scholarship is important to me because I wanna study here more. It also gives me more reason to later and give back to society. Receiving a scholarship, it just really lifted the burden. It helped to take care of my tuition because I actually was able to the take an extra class. To be able to afford six extra credits. Somebody's out there that uh, that think that you are worth it and it was a great feeling. Your hard work is being recognized and rewarded. It truly is something that is incredibly meaningful to me and a very helpful, so I thank you. The contribution that you make really makes a difference. in the lives of students. Thank you for believing in me. Thank you so much for noticing little me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you so much and I'm very grateful for the opportunity you've given me and all the students at HACC and I'm very grateful and I hope to make you proud.
