- Whoo! - Hey, Terry!
- Feels good! - How are you?
- I am awesome.
- You look good, and Portia said she ran into you...
- Yes! - The other day.
- Yesterday! We ran into each other.
- We talked horses, the whole thing.
It was awesome. I'm starting to--
I'm riding horses now. - Are you really?
- You know, that's what happens when you get a little money.
- Yeah, but it-- [laughter]
It better be a giant horse. You're a big guy.
- It's got a little bow in his back now.
- I see. - You know?
But it's lovely.
- Hey, I have to ask you, because you started in the NFL:
the Super Bowl, how about that game this year, huh?
- Man, oh man, that was a game, I'm telling you, but--
[cheers and applause] Listen.
But my highlight was the halftime, okay?
[cheers and applause] Booyah!
Katy Perry came--
First she came out on a lion. - Right.
- Then she had the dancing sharks,
and then she hit you with the whole
"flying away on a firework," then she brought out Missy.
- Missy. - When I heard that they were--
[imitates music]
- You work out so much.
It seems like you could eat whatever you want.
[catcalls] [cheers and applause]
- Well, you know...
I gotta give it up. It's kinda like my man LL.
You see--I mean, you know-- he's 47, I'm 46.
You don't have to give it up. You know what I mean?
I tell people that all the time.
But the trick is-- and this is my biggest trick
in regard to working out, and I tell this all the time.
Treat it like the spa, okay?
Go the the gym, read a magazine, and go home.
Because the habit of working out
is more important than the workout!
The habit of going to the gym is more important than the workout.
You just have to do it every morning.
Get in there, and just relax!
You have "Brooklyn 99," which is such a hilarious show.
Good for you for-- - Thank you.
- And that character is based on--
They based it on you, right?
- You know, the character in Brooklyn 99 didn't exist.
It was one of the things where I went in
and met with the producers.
They basically didn't have a role.
They were like, "Wait a minute.
"You know what, Terry? This role--
"We want to add you to the show so much that were gonna call--
The name of the character is you."
And I told them I had a minivan,
and I told them all these things about my life.
They actually added the minivan to the show.
All these little factoids that go out.
I'm like, "Wait a minute, how did y'all know that?"
You know, and--
It's so wild because I realize--
With a lot of actors, they always spend a lot of time
trying to be someone else.
And the truth is, when you are just yourself,
you--there's no one else like you.
And I tell everyone else, it's like,
if you don't do what you're supposed to do in your life,
the world is gonna miss what you have.
- Yep. - And my whole thing
has always been to show people what's possible, you know?
And I'm just a kid from Flint, Michigan,
who got the opportunity of a lifetime,
and the fact is that they made this character for me,
and it's one of the best shows I've ever been involved with.
- Yeah, yeah. [cheers and applause]
- I'm the most thankful man in town.
- It's a great character.
So...I know that you have a minivan.
I know that you love to sing in the minivan.
- Thank you. - I know that your family
doesn't love you singing in the minivan.
[laughter] - No, they don't.
- Well, we got you something-- we got you something,
and we got the kids something, so you can actually
sing in the car, and then they don't have to listen to you.
So this-- - [bursts out laughing]
- That's actually...
- Oh! Oh!
- This goes with your Bluetooth.
- Oh! - You can actually sing
and it goes with your Bluetooth.
- This is beautiful. Oh, this is me!
- Yeah. [cheers and applause]
- (sings) Am I wrong?
- But then, your kids have-- they can put on
their Beats headphones and listen to something else
and they don't have to listen to you.
