Welcome to Classical Academy Online! Meet Your Teacher, Kassie Young.

Hi! Welcome to Classical Academy Online. My name is Kassie Young, and I am one of the teachers who will be overseeing Math within the online school. I am looking forward to getting to know you all as we get ready to launch into the new school year, so let me start by telling you a little bit about myself.   I am a native San Diegan and graduated high school from Calvin Christian right here in Escondido. After high school, I went to college at University of Iowa, where I played volleyball. Then, I transferred back to San Diego and finished my undergraduate education at The University of San Diego. After graduating college, I realized that my true passion was teaching, so I decided to go back to school once again to obtain my teaching credential. I completed the credential program and earned my Masters in Education at National University. I have now been teaching here at The Classical Academies for five years, and I look forward to entering into my 6th year! This year, I will be overseeing Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, and Geometry within the online school, and I can't wait to start interacting with the online students! I am so happy to be a part of the Classical Academy community. My husband's name is Chad Young (you can see him in the pictures to the right), and we have two kids named Brianna and Easton (also in the pictures to the right). My personal hobbies include running, beach volleyball, and pretty much anything active. My family enjoys water sports, going to the beach, camping, and snow skiing! I am privileged to have the opportunity to teach your children! My goal is to build relationships and to provide a personal, rich, and safe learning environment for your children. I know that The Classical Academies share this goal, and that's why I love working here. I value learning and hope to instill the love of learning in my students so that they will become life-long learners as well. I hope they become responsible, respectable, productive individuals. Working together as a team, the staff at Classical Academy Online and Parents can provide motivation, encouragement, and an enhanced learning experience for students. I look forward to meeting and working with each and every one of you!
