Hi my name is Dr. Steve Minors of Rehab Effects in Austin, Texas and today we will be talking
about chiropractic manipulation and adjusting. Some patients just are not comfortable with
chiropractic manipulation and there are certain things that we can do to help you with that
and one of those is something called an adjuster. The adjuster which looks like this can be
used to adjust any body part or joint that needs to be adjusted. This, for example, particular
tool right here contacts the lumbar spine, and this is the back of the lumbar spine and
what you are doing is that you are simply going in and you are adjusting these areas,
these joints. Now for a much smaller person such as a baby or a very small woman you can
use a very different application and do the same thing assuming that this is a smaller
person we are going to just do it along here or if we need to do it in the neck again this
is a model of the neck or cervical spine and you do the same thing here if you need to.
There are also other attachments for other body parts say for example you need to do
a knee or an ankle, an elbow, and again the patient is uncomfortable with it being done
traditionally by chiropractic manipulation and like so, so you can use it here on the
elbow or you can use it on the knee if you need to.
