International Design - Trend trip - Episode 3

I lived here about four years ago Ruby when did you live here? five years ago, So you here at the same time? yes but didn't realize it sometimes Robin can come in and just say one word to me it could be like Vampire Diaries and that's all I got to say to you, and then she'll walk away and I'll think I totally get it Design is a visual language so it's nice when someone speaks your same language this is one of our most intense shopping days and that's the issue on oxford street we're ready to go, we need to find a hot fashion item that's going to be the must have next year we get very inspired by apparel and sometimes a color can be turned into a handbag We're trying to get to the top of High Street by six o'clock when stores close, that's the plan we're seeing a lot of the military trend and the walker influence a lot of pockets and entry details neons were everywhere scarves argiles I have to say I've probably learned more at this company than at any other company I worked for because we're working at prices of sixteen dollars for a bag that doesn't mean that were knocking off in fact to design in a price is far more challenging then to make a six hundred dollar bag a designers job is never done you may go home at the end of the day but it's kind of never over you're constantly digesting because you see things all the time. Weather it's going into a store or seeing people on the street we both find London very inspirational it's just as easy to make a good shoe as it is to make a bad shoe I don't see any exclusives nasty nasty, some seriously bad shoes here
