Entering Mount Holyoke, I knew that, by the time
I left these gates, I was going to gain
a voice that other women won't be able to have.
I feel like being at a woman's college,
it gave me that special experience.
My interest overall is working for nonprofit organizations
and kind of figuring out the rights of young girls
and women, especially in human trafficking and sex slavery.
This past summer, I interned in Morocco.
I had the opportunity to not only work
for a nonprofit organization, but I also
worked for a for-profit organization as well.
One of the biggest things for me was, no matter
where in the world I went-- whether it
be through study abroad or even my internships
abroad, that Mount Holyoke was with me everywhere I went.
I had the opportunity to meet so many alums, whether it
be on an airplane, in the airport, or just
walking around through the cities of Casablanca or even
in Marrakesh.
And I knew that MoHome was with me.
And I knew that I had the classes and the skill set
to know that I can apply all of the things
that I got here just through my professors
or even through my colleagues, that I'll be OK when
I leave the gates this year.
