Hey my friend I'm glad you're here. I'm about to show you how to map a domain to Empower
Network blog. It's actually really simple and I'm also going to show you how to add
more blogs to your Empower Network account. That is very simple as well and I will be
showing you how to map your domain to Empower Network blog with godaddy and if you don't
have a domain yet you can actually click the link below and it will take you to Go Daddy
and you can purchase that. Just pause video and you can go over to go daddy: real quick
pick your domain purchase it and then come back and I will show you how to get this all
worked out. So let's get started.
Yeah that's me don hall 2nd.
Okay. Now you need to log into your Empower Network back office and once you get here
what you're going to do is hover over this link and click on view / edit my blog. When
you get here you want to actually this is your blog um you want to actually click on
the plus sign right here and it's going to open up a whole little area that allows you
to edit and customize your blog change colors colors of your letters and background change
the top picture your header and link to where you want someone to go to when they click
it anyway you're going to want to click on custom domain. And when this opens you're
going to want to put the URL you have purchased from godaddy or wherever you bought it from
right here. Make sure you include the www. In front .
The one I'm going to use is www.blogsen.se .... Pretty cool. Anyway. Now you're going
to want to click Next and you see it gives you your CNAME and CNAME value. This is what
you're going to want to use when you log into your godaddy to get it straightened out. So
now lets log into Go Daddy and okay once you get logged and you're going to see your name
right here and you're going to want to click on visit my account. Win this opens come down
here where you see domains right here what you're going to do is hold on click out of
this you're going to just click right here and it's going to open up the domains you
already have purchased here and the one I'm going to use it is blog sense what you're
going to want to do is click Launch on the domain that you're wanting to map to your
Empower Network blog. Okay once you get here you're going to want to click on DNS zone
file . Then you're going to want to click Edit. And then scroll down to where you see
the WWW and the at symbol and click on the little edit pencil then erase the at symbol
and put in your URL . What you want is actually your Empower Network CNAME value. Mine is
going to be donhall2nd.empowernetwork.com once you get this tight and make sure you
save them on file and click OK from what it says here usually takes an hour may take up
to 48 hours for these changes to take effect. So we're just playing the waiting game until
it gets updated on their side. It may be really good for you to double check the stuff that
we went through and did to make sure everything is correct spelling is correct there's no
typos it always helps to double check as you're doing it because if you wait a day or so and
it still hasn't or isn't working um and it was because of a simple typo you could have
easily called it much quicker if you simply double checked what you're doing. Okay now
that we're done with that. We need to go back to domain editor to get there you can either
click on the tab right here to go back if that's no longer there I'll show you how to
get there . Go up here and click on my account and go to my account overview then open this
again you can either click here or click Launch and go back to launch the domain of the URL
we're working with right now . You want to go back and click on your settings tab which is right here and you want to go
down to the forwarding and you want to click on manage right under where it says domain
of click on Manage. Under domain you want to add forwarding click the Add forwarding
button okay this is where you're going to type your domain the domain you want to map
to your Empower Network blog and you also want to make sure that you add www. Before
your domain so mine is www.blogsen.se then you click Add and save then what you're going
to want to do is once you see that your URL is live go back to your Empower Network blog
if you don't remember how to get here hover over this click on view and edit blog. Click
on the plus sign shows up right here this bar comes up you want to click the custom
domain which is where I'm at right now inside the custom domain as soon as your domain is
live and mapped with what we did it go daddy: you should be able to click this verify custom
domain button and it will verify it and you'll be good to go. Alright so check it out it's
good to go now and it only actually took 20 to 30 minutes for it to get fixed over at
Go Daddy and ready to go and now we're up and live as you can see click through your
stuff now everything just look sweet need now instead of what I had before which is
this I got a sweet little /url that's easy to remember blog sense that's cool now if
you want to add additional blogs all you have to do is click Add a new blog and you're simply
going to name it this is going to pretend to whatever your blog is going to be about
maybe uh well maybe you just want some kind of funny site or you love monkeys or something
so just say funny monkeys so you could actually have a funny monkeys blog as long as it says
available over here you can use it so this would be called funny-monkeys.EmpowerNetwork.Com
you just click Next and you've got a funny monkeys blog and if you want to map a domain
to this you do it the same way I just showed you to do the main blog thats it thats all
there is to it all there is to it is to do it much love my Empower friends please like
and share my youtube video subscribe subscribe to my channel I have some new cool stuff coming
out some more informational stuff that will help you with a lot of things so until then
bless everyone much love out there and I'll see you soon.
