Giving Back - Unrwa - Peace starts here

My name is Amal Mohammad Ismail I'm a student at the Deir al-Balah upper elementary school I'm 15 years old The top human rights students from UNRWA schools were selected to go on a trip to Holland We met with judges, and visited some courts We also met one of the most senior judges She was a woman We were surprised to find a woman in such a high position And this inspired us to achieve something like this one day In Gaza, we live under oppression In other countries, people can travel anywhere they want They live in peace. They enjoy their full rights There is a big difference between them and us Our goal is to help all the different parts of our community To organise events and to promote and encourage volunteer work in the community To develop ideas, and to talk to people and help them but also to learn from them as well My dream is that Palestine becomes independent and no longer under occupation That we live in freedom, security and stability That we live just like people in Western and European countries where they enjoy these full rights, freedom, security and pride All Palestinian children want to enjoy their rights But not at the expense of others We also want Israeli children to live in security and stability and not be exposed to violence We want to be just like everyone else
