Carrot Cake Recipe - Prep ingredients for carrot cake

Hi I'm Rachel Dayan for Expert Village. Now we are going to mix the ingredients together
for this recipe we need a 1/2 cup of boiling water. Usually what we do with cakes we mix
we cream the sugar, eggs together but if you have in a recipe boiling water it is always
good to put the eggs last so they won't be cooked with the boiling water on top of them.
So we are going to start with the sugar and the oil.
Now we are going to add some of the flour not everything just half about half with the
baking soda and all the spices the cinnamon, the nutmeg, and the ground cloves. We are
going to mix it together now I'm pouring the boiling water on top half of the boiling water.
And put a little bit more flour and add the rest of the boiling water.
