-[Joey] Expectations. Reality.
-[Daniel] We got 'em, queen.
-[Joey] Wow!
Ah! Good day everyone and welcome back to Joey's kitchen DIY
pinterest thing here with...
-Martha Stewart!
-Oh! So great to have you, Martha!
-Out of jail!
-Thank you so much for taking the time to come on.
-You're welcome. I thought I'd do a little community service.
-Oh. Okay.
-So what are we doing today, "Josephine"?
-So we are going to be making VEGAN
that's right, no dairy!
Up in where?
-Up in here!
-That's right!
-Sounds like...
sounds good.
-I didn't even finish.
-Okay. (laughs) Well whatever it is sounds good.
-We're adding GALAXY into the mix!
-Oh. My.
-Who knew vegan ice cream would make
-Trend alert!
-Galaxy flavored!
-This is the last galaxy video you better do. I swear...
-No. More galaxy!
-If you guys didn't see, we made galaxy slime.
-(imitating) Link down below.
-We're inspired by Shane Dawson's DIY ice cream,
but he just like... he spray painted.
Spray painted ice cream.
We're making it from scratch.
Okay, so I really don't know if this is going to work
so... uhh... I'm just gonna
-It's probably NOT going to work.
-I'm kind of combining recipes together.
And this is like a super easy
it's not gonna probably come out looking like real ice cream.
Uh, we're gonna take ice cubes
and put ice- uh, put MORE ice.
-Put ice in them.
-We're gonna put some salt in it,
and that's going to lower the temperature
and it's going to make it... liquid turn to ice cream.
Have you ever done that?
-No, I just went to the ice cream shop at Friendly's.
-Oh.
-Or you can get an ice cream maker, which you didn't want to do.
-No, because not everyone has an ice cream maker,
but everyone has a plastic bag and ice cubes and salt.
So, what you're gonna need is
you're gonna need some coconut milk, light coconut milk,
some food coloring,
some glitter. Edible glitter, not real life glitter.
Vanilla extract
and just whatever else you can find.
Also some stevia. And...
-[Daniel] And some crack.
-I don't think I missed anything. I might've.
So anyways, let's get on with the DIY!
Alright, so first step is to add the coconut milk into a bowl
because we're going to make our mixture before we freeze it.
-How much do I need?
-I don't really know. I think we're just going to put all four cans in.
-Wait. Light coconut milk?
-Careful, because we don't want it to mix up.
So in these cans, there's coconut water and coconut "meat".
And we just want the "meat".
So don't shake it out. You want to let it separate.
"Say hey! Can I have some coconut ice cream!?"
-This is coconut milk.
-Yeah, go ahead. Pour it in.
-Okay.
-Scoop it on in.
Wolf's like "uh... what's... what's that!"
Oh, that looks good.
-[Daniel] Augh! Get off me, dog!
-We'll add just a little bit of water.
Ooh, it's soupy!
-[Joey] It looks really cool. We should show them a close-up.
-[Daniel] That does NOT look cool, that looks disgusting.
-It looks like paste.
-[Daniel] Yes. You used to eat that as a kid, right?
-[Joey] I never ate glue.
I would eat paper. I would eat erasers.
-Paint chips...
-Paint chips. You name it.
-[Joey] Honestly, I'm not sure if this is right.
-[Daniel] This is definitely not right.
-Okay, it actually said to use the full can of the light.
and just the meat part of the whole.
So I think I'm just going to pour the rest of this in.
There we go.
Okay, let's just pour it in.
-It definitely said not to pour all of that in, right?
-Goopy...
-[Daniel] Mmm! Galaxy ice cream! (laughs)
-[Joey] It's gorgeous!
-Do we do the other one, or no?
-Umm... I think we have enough.
We're just making it up as we go.
-Okay, what's next?
-Okay, so next we have to add a fourth cup of stevia
which is going to be our sweet-nah.
-[Both] Schweety.
-I think it's like sugar that comes from a plant.
Is it good?
-Augh! It doesn't taste right, but...
... Okay!
-[Joey] Yeah!
(gasp) Oh!
Uh-oh.
-[Joey] Oh that's cold.
-[Daniel] Alright, so a quarter cup of stevia.
What else?
Back off, Wolf!
-A teaspoon of vanilla extract-azoid.
-Extract-o knife.
-[Joey] Oh yeah, you like that?
Yeah-heh-heh-heh-heh.
Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha.
-Oh my gosh.
-Psychopath in the house.
-Teaspoon or tablespoon?
-I hope this turns out good.
-[Joey] Teaspoon.
-I have zero faith in you.
-Why!?
-Because you need to read the directions!
-Why would you use directions when you are Joey Graceffa?
-True.
-[Joey] Okay, I think that's mixed up enough.
-Okay, now what?
-Mmm! It actually tastes pretty good!
-Not bad.
-So. This is the part where we get to freeze it.
-Freeze the fat!
-Freeze-the-fat dot com, dot org, dot EDU
dot HTML.
Alright, pour it in here.
Be careful.
-Sickening.
-Careful...
Ohh-hoh. Hoh!
-Ooh, creamy goodness!
-[Joey] These bags now have a new seal!
Get it today! In stores now.
Okay, so now we're going to let the air out of this bag.
(gasp) Uh-oh!
Looks like some dogs farted.
-Let that air out, boy!
-Okay, next we're going to put a bunch of salt in this ice bag
which, like I said, is going to lower the temperature
and freeze the fat.
-[Daniel] How much do I put?
-[Joey] Let's let you decide.
-Let's shake it up.
-♫ Shake it up ♫
-Oh, it's getting cold!
-Now let's add...
the cream!
And then I think you just shake it!
This is what we did in kindergarten
to make our own ice cream.
Alright, we're back with more ice, and we're adding some salt.
That's a lot of salt.
-Good, I like it salty.
-This is like kind of what Trish was confused about
she was like "wait so if there's salt in there, isn't the ice cream going to be salty?"
-Me. Always.
-Me. Always.
-Alright! So, we ended up putting it in the freezer.
I don't even think you needed it in the freezer, but it definitely helps.
-[Daniel] A little bit. -[Joey] It helped a little bit.
-Daniel, what do you have to say for yourself?
-I say the freezer did a great job.
-He was a non-believer now he's a believer.
-I give you many a prop.
-Oh, it's leakin'!
-Ohh schweetie!
-Leak! Leakage!
-[Joey] There's frozen parts! It just needs to...
congeal together.
-That's the wrong word, sis.
-Whatever! Go get a napkin, quick!
-I'm gonna buy you a dictionary.
-[Joey] Ow... my hands are so cold. -[Daniel] Hunty... yes.
-(Miranda impression) Yes.
-(Miranda impression) Yes, it's cold.
-[Joey] I'm gonna squeeze the...
the parts.
(laughs)
It's like... chunky.
-I don't want my ice cream to be chunky though.
-Ohh no!
-You want to put it in the freezer again, schweet pea?
-Yeah, I'm gonna put it in the freezer.
Just the freezer.
Should I just put it in the freezer?
Actually, I'll just put it back in here and I'll just shake it a few times.
Yeah, 'cause all the freeze is happening.
-Yeah...
-It's freezing the fat.
-This is a mess.
-No...
-(sarcastic) Oh... you meant well.
-No, I did good!
'Cause it's like, the motion of the ocean
makes the centrifugal force
of the equilibrium...
-[Daniel] Here we go again....
-To the extended... exterior...
proclarium.
I'm about to go just pick out some coconut vegan ice cream
and pull a "Shane Dawson".
-(laughs) Spray paint!
-Okay, it's getting thick.
-Oh, it is getting thicker.
-See?
-Say that you understand.
-No, I will never.
-All that saying I just said? Was magical.
-Is because I put a spell on it myself.
-No, it was my spell.
-No, it wasn't.
-Yeah.
-You were kicked out of the witch academy.
-You don't even know the name of the school.
-Uh-yeah.
-What?
-Hogwarts School of Bitchcraft and Wiggatry.
-(laughs)
Alrighty, onto the next step.
You can wait longer if you're a human
that has patience.
We're gonna scoop it into three different things
so we can add... we can have three different colors.
to our ice cream to make the galaxy.
-[Joey] That looks good!
We need a close-up over here.
That's gorge-ani-ous.
That looks like actual ice cream!
-[Daniel] It *is* actual ice cream. You're a chef!
-We're adding in the food coloring to the mixtures
'cause they are now separated.
'Cause we need our galaxy to be separated.
-Hurry up before it all melts.
-Okay, pig.
-[Joey] Alright, so put pink there.
I'll work on purple over here.
-[Joey] This is going to be gorgeous.
-[Daniel] This is going to be a nice SOUP.
-[Joey] (laughs) Ice cream soup.
-[Joey] Alright, I'm going to make the purple the dark color.
-[Daniel] Oh, one of the... that looks like a galaxy.
I like the blue.
-Alright! So now we're going to pop this back in the freezer.
(laughs) Let it re-freeze.
-Let the SOUP freeze.
-Then we'll recombine them
to make the ultimate galaxy!
Huah-ha-ha-ha-ha!
Alright! So, we have taken them out of the freezer.
This is what it all looks like
-[Daniel] Looks gooood.
-[Joey] Gorgeous.
-[Daniel] Gorgeous. Hi wolfie!
-We both have our own cup, so we're going to make our own galaxies
in these cups.
-A little galaxy.
And we have all these little sprinkles
and... stars
and whatnot.
-[Joey] And I'll put some blue.
I don't know what I'm doing.
-[Daniel] Just uh...
-[Joey] It kind of just looks like cotton candy ice cream.
-[Daniel] It's a... neon galaxy.
-[Joey] Okay, we just need to like... stir them together.
-[Daniel] Don't stir too much yet.
-[Joey] That looks cute!
-[Daniel] Quick before it melts. -[Joey] This looks good!
-Okay, let's add some stars.
(laughs) Oh, the galaxy's there, alright!
Oh I can't wait to add this edible glitter.
-[Joey] Pretty girl! Uh-oh...
-[Daniel] Uh-oh, you put a lot in there!
-[Joey] (laughs) Yup.
-[Joey] This is what it's looking like
in case you all were wondering.
-[Joey] Woah! Shining, shimmering, splendid!
-[Daniel] So cool.
-[Joey] Alright, so this is my galaxy.
Her name is "Nebula".
-[Daniel] Mine is "Queen Glamazon". -[Joey] (gasp)
-[Joey] Wow! Daniel.
Yours is really good.
-[Daniel] They're *both* good. I want to eat this.
-[Joey] Expectations. Reality.
-[Daniel] We got 'em, queen.
-[Joey] Wow! These are so cool!
-They are really cool. I wanna try it!
-I'm jealose-a!
-Why? It's yours.
-Wait, I want some of these big balls in mine!
-Those are METEORS.
Oh, look who's here!
-Now for the taste test. I'm gonna zoom in on this one. -[Daniel] Do you want some, boiii?
-Alrighty, it is taste. Test. Time.
-Shall we feed each other?
-You know, it probably would have been better if we...
each one was a different flavor, too.
-That's too much, sis.
-Oh, okay.
Ready?
-Ow! I broke a molar!
-I bit on a... a planet.
-Bye kids!
-(laughs)
-It's good!
This is not bad!
-Okay, so you could have added flavoring in.
I recommend going to Michaels and getting, like, bubblegum flavoring.
We didn't do that!
This is hurting my teeth!
Ow!
It's good, though.
-For flavor-wise, it's not bad.
-Right.
I also don't recommend these ones.
They hurt.
-Break your teeth off.
I love edible glitter. That's so cool.
I wanna put that in every food. -[Joey] (gasp)
Will my poop be glitter?!
-No.
-[Joey] Are you sure? -[Daniel] It will melt.
But you can eat real glitter!
-Okay!
-Yeah!
-Alright, cool!
Alright guys, well I hope you enjoyed this galaxy vegan ice cream DIY.
If you did, please give it a big ol' thumbs up.
And we will see you guys next time!
Good-damn-bye!
